This 35 year old lady fell and fractured her tibia quite badly. The fracture was close to the ankle joint. She was treated with a Taylor Spatial Frame external fixator.

The Taylor Spatial Frame
The Taylor Spatial Frame (TSF) is a special type of external fixator that relies on a hexapod structure and computer software to allow a very accurate correction of a fracture or deformity to be made.

This x-ray depicts the accuracy of the reduction that was achieved with the TSF for this fracture.
This x-ray was taken after frame removal and shows a tibia that has united in an excellent position. The patient can now get on with her life.
